Vintage Pork Pie Hat — Attaboy Roma

A restored vintage pork pie hat, lovingly renovated by B.H-Jones Hatmaker.

This is a hat with a past — and a very good one at that. Originally made in Denton, Greater Manchester, by Attaboy Roma, one of the great names in British hat manufacturing, this c.1950s pork pie has been given a new lease of life without losing an ounce of its original character.

The wool felt is a thing in itself — flecked with hints of magenta and green, with a slightly longer, napped finish that catches the light in a way modern felts rarely do. It has been fully restored with a new sweatband and a fresh rose-coloured liner, and finished with a small feather mount in red, yellow, and green. One of those hats that looks like it has been everywhere and is ready to go somewhere new.
